CUED Welcomes Three New Undergraduate Interns

In keeping with CUED's emphasis on student involvement, we are pleased to announce the addition of student interns. As undergraduates in UC San Diego's Urban Studies and Planning program, they will work with the directors on the development of CUED as well as on various CUED community projects that will kick off in the coming months. Please stay tuned for a more detailed announcement of these projects and of openings for additional student interns to work on them.

  • Bryan Shiang

    • Yada Khoongumjorn

Yada Khoongumjorn is a third year student at UC San Diego, studying a combination of Urban Planning and Cognitive Science.  She sees CUED as a perfect opportunity to combine her interdisciplinary studies and her experience with web and graphic design in a meaningful and productive way. To relax she enjoys playing video games, reading, and spending far too much money on clothes.

    • Michelle Chung

Michelle Chung is a fourth year student in the Urban Studies and Planning program. Through her internship with the Center for Urban Economics and Design, she hopes to integrate her experience with planning and GIS with her interests in understanding the challenges and opportunities for economic development in urban communities. She is a native San Franciscan and has worked and studied in the Bay Area and British Columbia. She enjoys dragon boating, dancing, cooking, eating, and learning new things.

  • Elena Chang

Elena Chang is an Urban Studies and Planning major from Cupertino, CA. Her research explores how local knowledge may be integrated into urban design practices that may in turn improve the quality of life in low-income communities. She loves architecture, music, long car rides at night, flying kites, and doing spontaneous things with her friends.
